The international festival-competition of solo dance named after Makhmud Esambaev is held with the aim of preserving and deepening the traditions of the choreographic art of the peoples of the Russian Federation and the whole world, the exchange of cultural values and the development of interregional and international relations. Among his tasks: popularization of solo dance. strengthening the interest of the younger generation and creative youth in folk dance and choreographic art, popularizing the work of the People’s Artist of the USSR Makhmud Esambaev.
